Excerpts from San Diego Padres' Fan Forum (C. H. Park)
Chan
Ho Park was one of the best pitchers in baseball when he was with the
Dodgers, but I have to admit that I thought he was at the end of the line
after all those bad years in Texas. But it really appears that he's gotten
his magic back now that he's back in the NL and I couldn't be happier or
more pleasantly surprised. The Padres could end up having one of the best
staffs in baseball by the end of the yesr with Peavy, Young, Chan Ho and
Woody Williams.
I'm really happy for Chan Ho and I hope we can keep
him here in a Padres uniform for a
while.

Hopefully
he will continue. He was getting hit hard today but the defense was solid.
He was basically saying "here it is, hit it somewhere" and the boys backed
him up. 15 scoreless innings in a row!!! who woulda thought we would be
saying that and Chan Ho Park in the same sentence. I thought he would be
better this year, but he's been dominating. Two games taking no hitters
into the 6th inning and really being dominant in all but one game. Like I
said...hopefully he will continue.........way to go ACE
BREAKER!!!!!

well frankly i
really miss his dominating type of games but i think he is a no more
fastball thrower thus if he can be a quality pitcher for every game
that will be great for the team & himself
go chanho the ace
breaker go padres

Hensley
and Estes have been all right too...The only starter who struggled was
Dewon.

one
of the reasons why CHP pithched so well with the Korean team at WBC was
because of the defense. It seems like CHP is now more of a contact pitcher
than a power one. Sure I miss those 96mph fastballs, but if the defense
backs him up, he'll be great.

Great
Post ---- I think that Balsley deserves a lot of credit.. he got him to
trust his pitches and worked with him on his tight slider...
I was
hoping that a full ST with Balsley would pay dividends.. it's hard to
change a guy when you bring him over in a trading deadline deal... but
Balsley has done the job...
props to CHP for being willing to make
the
changes...

Who
or whatever made Park better, I am sure happy. With great defense and
comebacker Park, the game looks pretty good.
I'm so happy another
veteran Williams is doing so well also.
So far our SP has been
great and our defense has been solid!

Chan Ho has been ACE like
so far this season. The whole rotation has stepped up and that has been
key for the Pads early success. I hope they keep it up.
